In 1984 Father Colin MacInnes left his South Uist home and
embarked on a journey which would radically change his life
and priesthood and would impact, just as dramatically, on the
lives of hundreds of thousands of people in Quito,
Ecuador.
The programme profiled the life of the priest and community in
which people continue to live out their lives in abject
poverty.
